Annamaria Morini and Paola Perrucci 

ANNAMARIA MORINI was born in Bologna. After graduating at the Florence Conservatory she completed her flute studies with Jean-Pierre Rampal, Andràs Adorjàn and Conrad Klemm. Since many years she has been focusing her activity on contemporary music, gaining a first class role. Her collaboration with composers is of great importance for the development of the new techniques and of the flute repertoire. More than 70 pieces, for flute solo, flute & violin, flute & harp, have been written for her by composers belonging to different generations and musical languages (among the worldwide known ones: Donatoni, Clementi, Manzoni, Guarnieri, Gervasoni, Olivero, Yusupov). She performs in prominent events and venues: Teatro alla Scala, Teatro La Fenice, Biennale di Venezia, Nuova Consonanza, Darmstadt Ferienkurse, Festivals all over the world, such as Holland, Berlin, Israel, Avignon, Valparaiso, Warsaw). In 1988 she formed a flute & violin duo with Enzo Porta, and in 2000 a flute & harp duo with Paola Perrucci. She records contemporary music for various labels and broadcasters and publishes articles on important music magazines. She teaches flute and contemporary chamber music (advanced course) at the Bologna Conservatory and runs masterclasses throughout Italy.

PAOLA PERRUCCI began studying music at the age of eight and obtained a diploma in harp playing aged seventeen at the “G. Rossini” Conservatory in Pesaro with top grades and honours under the tutelage of Gabriella Morosini Guidi.
She subsequently graduated with excellent results at the “Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia” in Rome where she perfected her studies with Adelheid Miller, First Harpist for the State Opera.
In 1986 she was First Harpist for the italian “Orchestra Giovanile” and was amongst the winners of the Contemporary Music Competition in Udine.
She has performed numerous concerts both as a harpist and as part of the Chamber Music formations in Italy and abroad.
As a Harpist she concentrates mainly on reviving repertory the Harp’s function and the use of basso continuo following pieces which range from the rennaissance period to the “gallant style” on both antique and modern harps playing solo or in a harp duet clavicymbal with Maria Pia Jacoboni with whom she works on the research and revision of unedited pieces.
For this reason she began studying Composition and gained her diploma in “Choral Music and Choral Direction” at the “G.B. Martini” Conservatory of Bologne in 1990 under the tutelage of Tito Gotti and has continued her studies to date on Composition and Analysis of Music under Maestro Cesare Grandi.

Have been presented for the very first time dedicated to her and currently plays in a duet whith Flautist Annamaria Morini.
She has made many recordings for both radio and television (R.a.i.) and teaches at the Bologna Music Conservatory.
