IACMA - International Advanced Course on Musical Acoustics

This page contains a list of scheduled subject of the course, divided into different days. Further information regarding the subject of the course, including names of lecturers, are available in the Program subframe.

In addition, some special events will be organized especially for the Course in the first day: During an International Conference the Course will presented to musicians, and a Concert will follow in the evening. On Wednesday, the Ormond Choir of the University of Melbourne, Australia,  will give a Concert for IACMA.  

The Course:

  1. Monday 18 July: Fundamentals of acoustics and Wind instruments
  2. Tuesday 19 July: Vibration and fundamental of Modal Analysis and Percussion Instruments
  3. Wednesday 20 July:  String Instruments. Restoration and conservation  of Musical Instruments
  4. Thursday 21 July: Sound synthesis and physical methods applied to Musical Instruments
  5. Friday 22 July: Room acoustics and advanced experiments.
